BLOGGERS BY THE SEA

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." -Anais Nin

Oh yes......we had a meeting. In Ocean Grove New Jersey on a beautiful day , we, Constance, Susanna, Isabel and Sandy, got together for a picnic, poetry reading, walk about town and the beach and so much more.

Now if I could only get this blogger, making the photos BIG thing together, everything would be perfect!!! Ahhhhhhhh.........

GIFTED

"Everyone is gifted, but some people never open their package."- author unknown

I was gifted big time the last 5 days. I just spent a beautiful , but scorchingly hot weekend ,with some dear friends in North Carolina. I managed to use the other side of my brain........ I played golf. They live in Pinehurst, which if you know anything about golf, it's akin to a slice (no pun intended for you golfers out there) of heaven. Even though it was incredibly hot, we did it anyway. We also soaked ourselves until we were prunes in their pool, ate like pigs (photo above), drank wine like fish and laughed.......alot.

When I arrived home, I was once again gifted. Even a few days , this time of year produces an amazing growth of flowers and foliage. My garden took my breath away. We like it wild.

I have been gifted by some amazingly talented fellow bloggers, who not only are true artists, but I can now feel that I can count them among my dear friends as well. Gifted indeed.

Firstly, Susanna gave me a print of one of her beautiful winged messengers. It landed in my garden for this shot. Thank you, Susanna!!

...and just before I left for the weekend, a box arrives from my dear Aussie mate, Judy. There is a story behind the lovely vintage doll head, which I won't go into now, but suffice it to say, I was touched and happily placed her on my grandmothers old watering can, also in my garden (just for the photo, Judy). The message here is that I hope to use this head and let it "grow " into some kind of mixed media piece.

Are you gifted as well? Better open YOUR package!!!
