WHAT WILL I CREATE IN 2008?

"When it comes to the future there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen and those who wonder what happened."
-John M. Richardson Jr.

So which will you be this year? ......That's me up there, reflected in a mirror I made for my daughter Emily last year, pondering the photos I will be sharing with you in the future....I plan to "make it happen"!!

I already have a few "creative escapades" planned. In May, I am signed up to go to Art and Soul in Hampton Virginia. I had a great time last year.

I'm signed up for -
Demengs "Morpheous Box"
Stephanie Lee "Art Excavation- Plaster meets wax"
Susan Lenart Kazmers "New Works in Pages, Paper and Plastics"
Stephanie Lee "Strange Surfaces"

I'm looking forward to every moment!!!!!!

In September........I say "ciao"......and head to Cortona Italy and a Michael DemengWorkshop. A glorious week of creating with wonderful people, unstoppable scenery, overflowing flea markets, and delectable food and wine. "Hail Caesar", I say!!

I am also involved with some very talented women, from both the US and Australia, doing an altered book round robin. The books have made their way around the US and are now on their way to Australia. We should be seeing the finished versions in November. What a wonderful way to share talent and ideas and bring the world a bit closer together.

I have a few more things up my sleeve which I will save for later.
So....what do you all have in mind for the coming year???

While you are doing your own pondering, be sure to pick up this issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine. My friend Judy Wilkenfeld, at Red Velvet, is the featured artist. This work she has done and the article are truly masterpieces both in craftsmanship and eloquence.

Below are some images from my studio. Items that are just waiting to come alive.
